Actor Faces Sexual Offense Charges in Hamilton County

A 32-year-old actor faces sexual offense charges in Hamilton County.

The media has reported that Blue Ash police arrested Joe Vita on Saturday morning on charges of gross sexual imposition and unlawful restraint. Vita has worked in both TV and movies, most notably appearing as Officer Vita in the 1992 TV series “Tequila and Bonetti.”  He also appeared in “The Return of Johnny V” and an episode of “Burn Notice.”

Vita was being held in Hamilton County Jail pending a court appearance. Court records suggest that he allegedly forced a woman to have sex at a suburban Cincinnati hotel.

In high profile cases like this, someone facing sex crime charges will benefit from a skilled and committed defense attorney.  In addition to reviewing the underlying allegations, an attorney must pay attention to the increasingly severe registration and reporting requirements imposed upon persons convicted of sexually oriented offenses.
